My new baby

I've been slacking on posting--I know I know. I actually have multiple shoots I've done that I've never posted. I'll get around to it.

So on the photography front, I've been debating for months on whether or not to throw down for another camera. I love my Nikon D70, but I felt like I had outgrown it. I have been pining for this Canon 5D for-e-ver. But it is super expensive. Like---as much as my car is worth expensive (at least with the lens). So I had mentioned to my Dad how I wanted to become better at my new-found talent and how I felt stuck . . blah blah blah. And my Fabulous dad--believer in dreams--said--well if you want to do it--I'll be your banker. I still didn't want to go into debt over something that I didn't technically NEED, I kind of needed it, but more-so wanted it.

So I had finally decided not to go ahead with it when my friends said to me--"you're going to get it eventually right?" and I said yes, and they said "well, if you're dad is giving you a no interest loan, why don't you just get it now?"

Um, good point.

So at the 11th hour of the Canon rebate for my camera ($300 worth of rebate) I purchased it. And the 24-70 lens that comes highly recommended by many a person including Tara Whitney, my friend Jami Broadbent and also one of my photography teachers Wendy Schulz.

So I have one lens, and a fat camera.

This puppy has a full frame sensor and high ISO capabilities with low noise.

Can't wait to play.

Stay tuned.
