A boy and a board

I imagine that in this boy's year book it's going to have many entries (from girls) sayings something to the effect of:

"I'll never forget your smile"

I think I only got 1 shot of him serious looking. He just couldn't help it. Which makes it easy for me. His mom told me in her e-mail that he does all kinds of sports-ish things. And she mentioned he long boards. So I told her to bring it. Loved it. Check it.

1.2

This is what F1.2 looks like. Buttery, Creamy, Dreamy. I shot this photo with this lens. I rented it from Tempe Camera--because it is $1,400. But I tell you this--if I had the cash--that baby would be mine.

Shades of Blue

I thought maybe you didn't get enough of Kizzy in the last post. I had rented a 50 mm f1.2 lens for a senior shoot I did on Saturday. It' didn't have to be turned in until tonight (Monday) at 6:00. So I took Kizz out for some monochromatic fun. Usually as a photographer you want colors to be different, vibrant and fun. But sometimes it's fun to do this. It really draws attention to the face and features of the subject. It was fun. She kept trying to wander off. So then I'd offer her chocolate chips. I thought for post-processing I mixed it up and tried to get a whole bunch of different shades of blue--I think it's cool.
