Asplund Family

Hyrum's sister and her kids came down for a visit a few weeks ago and I did a little photo shoot with them. It's so freakin' hot down here that I don't want to go out and shoot at a location, so we opted for the black background. It was already set up from the flip book shoot I did (I made it in iMovie and am still trying to figure out if I can post it somehow--it was super cool). Anyway, they are a fun family. This first picture my Strawberry is in because they had randomly purchased the same dresses. Strawberry now thinks that she is the coolest because her dress is like her older cousins. These kids are super smart, super fun and gorgeous. Can anyone spot Hyrum's look alike????

Ethan

This is baby Ethan. He's the son of a couple in our ward, and oh so tiny. His hair has a faint redness to it that you can see in his ear picture--that is why I kept it in color. Why do I have a fondness for baby ears? I have no idea. I found a new place for photo shoots, my in-laws balcony, it was pretty handy and adequately lit. However, I had no room to backup and I have a fixed lens so it made it challenging sometimes. I got some great shots though--and don't you love the freckles on the mom--I think they are full of character and make for great portraits. Let me know your faves (you've been slacking).

Cami's other love

My super hip friend Cami and I have been talking about getting together for a little photo shoot of her boy, and we finally did it! We didn't have much time, but we got some good shots and her husband was willing to sit in for a few and was actually quite photogenic--(shout out to Tyler). These pictures were so great, as I was photoshopping them I wanted to title them, but I realized you would all see what I saw in them. So check out the chubs of this kid--and whoa baby those eyelashes. Oh and notice the look on his face when they're kissing--it's like he's a teenager and totally annoyed--that is why I chose that one.

Sweet Family

I got to take pictures of my friend's sweet family. You might recognize her and her girls from the generational photoshoot I did a while back. These are my favorites from the shoot. I upped my ISO because of low light, then when we went outside I forgot to change it. Lesson learned. However, we still got some good ones. Squish

This is the squishiest kid in the world. She is the chubbiest one I've ever had, and I just squeeze and squeeze and squeeze her baby thighs. (for most people she's not chubby, but for my babies she is) I've been trying to get photos of her but she is almost 1 and in that super busy stage. She started walking about a week ago, so she's a bit more stable. I knew she'd play on the tricycle and it was a cloudy day in AZ--you got to go with it when they're given. So here she is in all of her glorious piggies. Squish Squish Squish.
