If you've ever seen me at church or around and complimented me on my necklace, I say, "My ridiculously talented friend Cami makes them". Well, here she is. And you can see room by room, that I was spot on with my description of her. Seriously? Who thinks like this? I have to say that one of my FAVORITE shots EVER is this first one of the little boy standing on the bed with his hands in his pocket. There were two and I went back and forth between them, I'll probably post the other one too--later. Because I loved it. Anyhow--it was fun to shoot in a house--that has really good lighting. I was jealous. This was fun--and I love how it turned out.
Here is another one of my college roommates. I had a few of them, all of which are on my blog somewhere. Anyhoodles, Tempe Town Lake is up and running again so we took a trip down there. I love the grounds, so much to choose from. I love this first one of their son. It's like he's a shrunk teenage model. Had to post it. And the family pic? Love it too. Because it looks like we live somewhere else. Somewhere with trees.
First off I want to say big fat THANK YOU to my friend's husband who always helps me with bloggy/computer stuff. He made my tab bar at the top--and I am loving it. I am loving the new HUGE pictures, and that all of my stuff is easy to find right across the top. I'm loving my new blog redo.
Anyhow, on to the show. This is the second time I've shot this family. Last year their son was in the fast stage. It's anywhere between 18-36 months that they are too busy for photos. I chased and chased last year. But this year---that's right--I caught him. Actually I didn't have to. He was a ROCK STAR. And SO, SO cute with his new baby bro. I got some saweet family shots. I'm loving it.
Some things are just easy. Like shooting an old college roommate, because you know them too well. Her girls were so cute and easy to shoot. The 1 year old boy-- not so easy, that is why he's not in many of the pics. That is the HARDEST age to shoot. Unless you are a sprinter and can keep focus while running in front of them. I took them in front of my favorite brick wall--and you can see here why it's my favorite. If you look closely into the little girls eyes in the black and white pic--you can see my silhouette--it never ceases to amuse me when I get those shots. And I'm super loving the picture of the couple. It's a little bit out of focus--but I don't care. My old roomy looks gorgeous.
You can take an awesome picture ANYWHERE. My friend bought a bus, and she brought it by and took us for a ride. I LOVED IT IN THERE. For real. I would love to do sessions inside. The lighting was lovely. And the textures were yummy. And kids LOVE it. Check it.
