A public love letter

Dear Michelle Sidles,

I have been going through the images and I LOVE THEM!  This one in particular.  And it's going on my bedroom wall--square and big.  I'm excited because we don't have any pictures of us that someone else has taken.  You shot exactly how I thought you would--candid with lovely light.  I love that my hair is wisping across my face, and that my bangs are too long and covering my eye, and that Hyrum is looking down while I am not, and the horizon and the open field, and that it's in black and white (I added a little cinnamon) and I love the laugh lines by my eyes.  I love the shots of my kids--the laughing, the wide open mouths, the little bit of bend (you know what I'm talking about).  Seriously--thanks so much.  It's official--I will now love you forever.

Camera is on me

You know that trip I took? Well I went to see a photographer friend of mine. It was actually the first time we had met. We both took the same online photography class (the one that I encourage everyone to take--just look in my section "for learning photographers). We had gone back and forth on the forum and became friends. So I went to see her--just to get out of town, but also so she could capture my family. And she did--she nailed it.
