For these Moments
I bought my camera so that I could capture photos of my kids with a deeper feel to them. I wanted to be able to capture emotion on film. You just can't do that with a point and shoot. Like this picture--had I taken it with my point and shoot the flash would have fired and the mood would be lost. Even when I pulled it up in Photoshop I didn't tweak it. I tweak EVERYTHING. But not this one. I walked into my son's room and this is what I saw. Sisters. Comfortable. Sweet. Connecting. I ran to get my camera and tried to capture it before they noticed. This is the first I grabbed. Then I tried to take more, but then of course everything unraveled and they started to fight over who held the balloon etc. etc.. But I captured what I wanted. Imperfect and exact. THIS is why I love my camera.
