Find the light

One of the keys to really good photography is to find the light. It is something that took me forever to learn, and I still have so much more to go. But sometimes I get lucky. The light this day was fab, and I shot in a new area and LOVED IT. I realize I'm a few months behind on posting, it's because I promised my kids I'd take the summer off. And I have--from shooting and from editing--and it's been fun spending time with my kids. Every once in a while I get a little hankering for some photoshop fun, so I finally worked on these for blog posting. This first shot, MMMMM lovely lovely light (and awesome light bouncing off a giant white wall). I have so many favorites in this shoot, the awesome texture of the weird green plant, the full sun shot which somehow she kept her eyes open, and the random chair and lamp that we found. So fun.

Also, could you please explain how that lamp is defying gravity. I really don't get it.

OOOH, love the one of the steel wall and her shadow but they are all so good.
