Just one

This is what it looks like when you swish your hair around and pretend to be in a Pantene commercial. There are more coming of this beauty.

Props

I love props to make a picture more personal. This girl plays the French Horn and she brought along her bird. How great is that? The awesome part of the shoot was when we got her in with a street musician. I couldn't stop smiling it was so fun to shoot. And I'd like to point out my mad skills of getting myself out of the reflection in the horn. And then I'd like to point out my not so mad skills of getting myself super distorted and right in the middle of the horn. I now want to shoot more brass.

Shiny

I bet you didn't know that it is EXTREMELY difficult to take a picture of someone's reflection in a french horn without getting yourself in the picture. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.

The other half

Here are the rest of the images from the shoot I posted yesterday. Actually I wanted to post almost all of the best images for the shoot but it would take me tons of time to process. I am lucky that all of my girls photograph well. I get rare smiles from this one but she has a natural beauty with her big shiny eyes and her whispy hair that is easy to shoot from any angle and with any expression. She's also easily coaxed with gummy worms. I'm ordering prints on Monday. Seriously how to I choose? Is it wrong to have an entire wall in your house dedicated to one child?

And there's more

Are you ready for a boat load of images. There are so many I decided to split them into two posts. I got my daughter a new dress from Target and I wanted to get a shoot in it before I washed it. I worked my butt off yesterday around the house, so I took the day off of housework. I was going to nap, but I got a burst of energy and hopped in the car with this one and my 6 month old. I just put him in the stroller and off we went. This is one of my favorite locations because there are a million different things you can do. The grounds are a-m-a-z-i-n-g. And this girl--she's a beauty.

Want some INSPIRATION?

Follow the MAMMOTH MEN on their 4th adventure. Someday . . . someday . . . I want to be as cool as they are. Their talents are a-m-a-z-i-n-g

p.s. Matt Sloan is the guy who took pictures of my family this year.

A little bit of this

A little bit of this and a little bit of that. We got all sorts of shots with this session. I love love love shooting maternity. Something about it--don't know what--but I love it. And these parents adore their son. I mean, most people adore their children, but you can see it on their faces. And as for this first picture. I think the first words out of her husband's mouth will be "My wife is HOT".
